Like my first tricycle. Things like this become front yard decorations. Green, blue, gray, white: a modernist composition. The wheels carry the blue over the fake lawn. A snake writhing in a picket fence. Skeleton arising like Botticelli’s Venus. Chickens of the neighborhood.
Graham and Sandy’s moose. Spider web attached. Tree creeping up a car. Contrasts of green. Permanently stored junk. Or so it seems. Easter ham. Fruit surrounded.
Little nature boy. The flowers provide a context. The little flag provides balance. Collection of junk. This is actually on top of a truck. How does it stay up there? Neighbor’s front yard. The lantern forms a focus. Some unexplained orange to the right. Theme of white. Does the tent go with the truck? Fleur de Lis, shovel and hammock. Fake grass and purple house. A cross formed on the lawn.
Seasonal photo. Easter is coming. Here’s a contrast of colors, textures and angles. Two Easter baskets. This photo reminded me of one of Karen’s paintings. An explosion of flowers.
These two seem to communicate with each other. Yet I’m not sure people still use satellite antennas for TV. The house is old and a bit shabby. Two more creatures communicating. A bit of old fashioned garden statuary. The polished fountain goes well with the background succulents. A crazy cat and a little cow creature. The cat’s legs are a whirligig. All in a sea of redwood chips.
It’s April, but the ghosts haven’t left. They scare away the empty pot. The shadow and street markings make the abstraction. Reminiscent of Mondrian. A colorful apartment building. The green tiles match the painted wall. The orange ones reference the awning. Shelving for pots, but a boarded window. The shelving forms several frames. A colorful growth on a small oak tree. It looks like a balloon. Solar insignia on side of a house. Is it Batman or a face occluded by a peacock?
A home is one’s castle. The escape route is the red slide A tree trunk as a woman’s trunk. Under the male gaze. A backyard place with chairs and bars. A place for adults and children. April 9, 2025.
Graham’s garage. Interesting pattern of decay. April 7. Just around the corner from us, this group is dancing on a pedestal. They look funny amongst the potted plants.
, These as are some shots on Spring day. The first shot is a lesson in geometry, the second a sene from yesteryear, the third a cloud and tree arrangement, the fourth a car tree arrangement.
